Sharing the Passion: Krasnapolsky Star Dinner 2015

Hotel Krasnapolsky is culinary  upside down on 26 and June 27!
Hotel Krasnapolsky is organizing for the fifth time the Krasnapolsky Star Dinner (KSD) this weekend. The event guarantees an unforgettable evening at the international level including live plating, good entertainment and socializing.

It introduces a new concept, named Culinary Friday. On this evening, the tasting of five small dishes is important. That will happen in a cozy atmosphere with live entertainment. Unlike during KSD the guests do not sit at a table, but they will be spoiled with several high tables.

On Saturday night, guests are presented a five-course dinner at tables for 10 people. This year’s theme is Summer.

The two culinary events are organized in collaboration with the Guild of Dutch Master Chefs (*Gilde van Nederlandse Meesterkoks), the Dutch master cook Ramon Beuk and a selection of local chefs. According Beuk the purpose of the evening is, boosting the level of cuisine in Suriname and sharing the passion in cooking together. Beuk came traveled to Suriname with  master chef Gerrit Greveling and the talented Gideon Teeuwen. The Dutch chefs work, during the preparations and prepare dinner, together with the team of Krasnapolsky, the Suriname Chefs Association and apprentice chefs from SHTTC. On both days, the dishes are prepared with Surinamese ingredients. Because the use is made of other techniques and new combinations are made, the guests will get acquainted with new flavors and they will taste Surinamese food differently.

The entrance fee for Culinary Friday at USD 50 per person.
The rate for the Krasnapolsky Star Dinner is USD 100 per person. The wines can be additionally booked and costs USD 25 per person.
