Traveling Experiences: Part 2 – Vegas baby!

Vegas baby!

We arrived! After picking up our luggage at baggage claim, we hailed a cab and went straight to our hotel:  Treasure Island. I must say that I found a good deal when I booked this and that for three rooms!
My mom hadn’t seen my brother for two years, so the meeting in the hotel was epic. It was like our mother wanted to cry of joy when she saw him. The best birthday gift ever!
Even though we had a good meal on the plane, we were hungry and I think you know my policy by now! Search for food! Yup yup, that’s where I ate my first Pho!

Pho 🍲

Phở or pho[1] (pronounced variously as /fʌ/, /fə/, /fɜːr/, or /foʊ/;[2] Vietnamese: [fəː˧˩˧]) is a Vietnamese noodle soup consisting of broth, rice noodles called bánh phở, a few herbs, and meat, primarily made with either beef or chicken.[3] Pho is a popular street food in Vietnam[4] and the specialty of a number of restaurant chains around the world. Vietnamese people usually consume it at any time of day.
As I said earlier it was my first pho. The idea of pho I had was a full body with a super delicious taste herbs and meats combined. This bowl of pho was not the best I had… so I would not recommend it to another in this particular restaurant, in the hotel.
We went to our rooms and slept peacefully after our traveling day.

Exploring Las Vegas

The next day, October 12th, was my mother’s birthday. We had lots of plans and wanted to have lots of fun other. But my mom got caught up by a group of salesperson who wanted to sell her a time share apartment and took half of her day! But before that, we did grab some breakfast. 😉
After that we went exploring a little. My brother, Faye and I went to the outlet mall with and uber. Pretty nice car picked up. The timeshare sales people kept our mother busy for at least 6 hours, by that time we were so hungry we could have eaten a cow! Sooooo on our way to find us some food.
Walking through the Venetian Resort Hotel and Casino, there was a lot to see while we thought of what we wanted to eat, that was fast and yummy.

And of course… The steaks!

Birthday Present

The next day we rented a car and drove to the Grand Canyon Nature Park. It’s very beautiful to see what nature can do and what wondrous things it leave us to see. It was a short drive, about 2 hours.
